Q. Your best finish of the season so far. How happy are you with this result? I know it wasn't everything you wanted, but just overall?

XIYU LIN: I think at the beginning of the year, I kind of started the year a little weird. I did some changes with the equipment. I went through some tough times. Even though it doesn't really show in the score, I think I went through some really tough times in myself.

I think like this week, I just put a new set of irons in play, and I definitely wasn't expecting this, so I think overall I would say it's a good tournament.

It's unfortunate I finished second again, but it is a good tournament.

Q. You've been sort of around the top of the leaderboard all day, and now can you tell us about sort of your finishing holes today and seeing your name climb up the leaderboard today top?

XIYU LIN: Yeah, I've been chasing pretty hard today, but I didn't get a lot going. Aditi had a really hot start, that I played with, and then I see everybody kind of start birdieing. I've been struggling a little bit.

But I felt like I kept telling myself, this course, anything could happen. To be honest with you, I'm making three birdies out of the last four holes was pretty phenomenal for me. Even in the first playoff I made another birdie.

I would say I did pretty good.

Definitely after nine holes, I definitely don't think I really have a chance back then, and I put myself here, had another try, so it was pretty good.

Q. Take us through your thought process here on 18, the playoff hole, your last hole of the day and then a really good playoff. What sort of process was going through your head before you tee off and all that stuff?

XIYU LIN: It's pretty interesting playing a playoff on the par-3 because you're just hitting the same club over and over. Unfortunately the second playoff, it was getting colder, and the wind wasn't helping as much, so I was trying to hit it a little harder and blocked it a little to the right. The bunker wasn't a very good lie.

Yeah, the key is get it on the green, so I didn't quite do that, and Greeny played really, really good.

Q. You're heading into San Francisco now next week. Going to be playing in International Crown and represent your country. How excited are you to do that now that you've had such amazing finish here?

XIYU LIN: Well, I'm always excited about that tournament. I think even we got in as the last spot. But all our players are having a really good shape of game right now. I was the one trying to catch up of them. I'm glad I'm in a good mood right now, and who knows, maybe next week we'll be the ones wearing the crown.
