Q. Tre'Shaun, walk through the play. What did you see, what happened?
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: I seen he was playing outside leverage, so I slipped inside. After that I got on my route very well, great ball placement. After that, it was history.
Q. It wasn't that simple.
BEN GULBRANSON: Figured give my guy a chance out there. He made the play. Put it up for him.
Q. You're in midfield. In that case, is that what you're trying to do, make a play of some sort?
BEN GULBRANSON: Yeah, the two-minute drill. Coach Smith talks about it all the time. It only takes one, so...
Yeah, great team win out there. We kept fighting till the last second. Defense had a huge stop for us there to set up that two-minute drive. Shoot, yeah.
Q. When you caught the ball and turned, what were you thinking?
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: Touchdown. I was thinking touchdown. Got to make a play for the team. Yeah, that's all I was thinking. When I seen nobody in front of me, straight green grass, I was thinking touchdown all the way.
Q. What does this mean to you guys? You were dead pretty much, weren't you?
BEN GULBRANSON: I mean, not with this team.
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: Exactly.
BEN GULBRANSON: We keep fighting till the last second. Showed up out there. Take us back to the Fresno State game.
I think with this team, anything is possible.
Q. Does this game happen if you hadn't maybe gone through the Fresno State game?
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: Yeah, that's been an emphasis like at the beginning of the season, just to finish every game till triple zeroes. That's what we proved in Fresno. Tonight we did the same thing as well.
I don't ever want to count us out. This team is phenomenal, man. Like, even if one side of the ball is not doing as well as they should be, the other side is going to pick them up.
That's what the defense did tonight, third down stop, kick a field goal, helping us just by one touchdown. Get a touchdown, it's good.
Q. Ben, you're not going to forget this one.
BEN GULBRANSON: Of course not.
Q. Was there anybody else chasing you at that point after you caught the ball?
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: I'm not sure. I didn't look. Tunnel vision.
Q. What would you say about your first start? How do you feel you played?
BEN GULBRANSON: I don't know. At the end of the day it's a team game. We got the win, so... I mean, that's the most important result at the end of the day. We'll go back and watch the tape, see what we can work on, improve on.
Shoot, we're just going to enjoy this one tonight and get back to work tomorrow.
Q. When you got to halftime, how did you feel? What did you need to change?
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: We were just basically encouraging everybody to not stop fighting because we still have 30 minutes to play. I just seen it come down to the last play of the game.
Just encouraging our guys to stay into it, not give up. That was the main emphasis.
Q. (No microphone.)
BEN GULBRANSON: He's been making plays like that all camp. That did not surprise us at all.
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: Definitely.
BEN GULBRANSON: He's going to be a hell of a player for us in the future. I think today he showed everybody how great of a player he can be.
Q. Did that wake you up a little bit?
BEN GULBRANSON: Of course. Fourth down, yeah. I think that was definitely a sparkplug for us. We rode that energy. Ended up, yeah, finishing pretty strong.
Q. The one that will get lost is Damien's touchdown.
BEN GULBRANSON: O-line, incredible job up front. Damien, a great running back, a true freshman. To make a play like that in a game like this, he's going to be a hell of a player for us.
Q. What are the conversations like in the huddle when you were down by two scores?
BEN GULBRANSON: Shoot, it's one play at a time. Stack quality plays on top of each other, end up with a good result at the end of the day.
You can try and, like, be results driven, but if you go one play at a time, you know, you end up out with a good result.
Q. Too early to know, what do you think a win like this can do for the rest of the season?
BEN GULBRANSON: Shoot, I mean, I don't think we'll ever forget this one. We can use the energy we got off this game, use that momentum, ride it into the second half of the season, finish strong.
Q. Within the context of the season, coming off of two losses, how much joy do you feel to get one back?
TRE'SHAUN HARRISON: Psyched. Amazing, man, honestly. Just knowing that we haven't played our best football in the last two weeks, just to get this win is just a relief off our shoulder.
