THE MODERATOR: Questions for Frank.
Q. What was the mood like in the locker room after this game? How did you feel about the team's performance?
FRANK HARRIS: You know, we're definitely upset. Definitely had a lot DBO's, a lot of self-inflicted wounds that we got to get corrected.
We did come out victorious, but that wasn't up to our standards, so we got to get better next week.
Q. Anything particular you want to target in practice or a way to clean some of that stuff up?
FRANK HARRIS: We got to pay more attention to the details, the little stuff. Focusing a lot more, just keep getting better.
Q. You guys are 2-2 at this point in the season. What does it mean to have that record considering the opponents you've faced?
FRANK HARRIS: We were hoping we were 4-0. It didn't go as planned. But we just got to keep coming out each and every game, our best foot forward, keep learning from each game. We're definitely going to learn from this film tomorrow and get ready for Friday versus Middle Tennessee.
Q. You kind of rallied the offense in the second quarter, delivered a message to them. What did you say?
FRANK HARRIS: I just think everybody needed to snap out of it, just step up, quit taking these guys lightly and focus a lot more than we were.
We had a lot of DBO's out there, a lot of self-inflicted wounds that we're not used to doing. I think it was just because we were lacking focus. I was trying to get those guys a little bit more motivated, more focused, just something that as a leader I had to do.
Q. What does it mean to you within a game like that, you're able to have the kind of performance you did, set a school record for passing yards?
FRANK HARRIS: We got to just keep going out there straining. We came out the second half, played a lot more clean. Got to calm down, just keep playing football. Everything take care of itself.
I think we were kind of thinking a little too much. That's why we were having a lot of self-inflicted wounds. The second half we definitely came out there a lot more relaxed and just played football.
Q. J.T. set the school record for most receiving yards. Do you have a connection there? What did you have going today?
FRANK HARRIS: J.T., he's just a crazy, unbelievable athlete. You just throw the ball to him, put it in his direction, he's going to make a play.
Sometimes I throw it, I don't even know how he catches the ball sometimes. Just a testimony to that guy. He's been putting a lot of work in. He's definitely cherishing the moment now. He reaping the benefits. Definitely appreciate everything he's done for us.
Q. You had a pretty impressive touchdown run in the first quarter. Jumped over a guy. Take us through what you saw on that one.
FRANK HARRIS: I was trying to pull it and throw to it J.T. I cut back in. I seen a guy go low. Instinctually I just kind of jumped, hit the ground and kept running.
I didn't think it was all that. My teammates thought it was the craziest thing ever. I appreciate them for kind of boosting my head up.
Q. You looked like you were a little bit hobbled in this game. You had a bandage on your leg. How are you feeling?
FRANK HARRIS: I just had a cut on my left knee. Kind of got rolled up on. Nothing serious. Just battled through that. I'll be fine.
Q. How did it happen?
FRANK HARRIS: I think I got tackled on one of the plays. I don't know if I got landed on, on my ankle. It's nothing serious.
Q. What does it take to regroup to be ready to hit it at full speed?
FRANK HARRIS: We're trying to get those guys in the training room to come back because conference is coming up. These game definitely matter a little bit more. The younger guys, whoever is up next, they got to just keep learning, keep grinding, just next-man-up mentality. Keep getting better and better each and every week, get ready for conference play.
Appreciate y'all.
