Los Angeles, California, USA
Postgame Press Conference
Los Angeles Clippers - 104, Dallas Mavericks - 97
Q. Kawhi obviously is a two-time Finals MVP. What can you say about his performance and how difficult it is to close out a team that has him?
LUKA DONCIC: I mean, he destroyed us. That's what it is. He had a hell of a game. And that's what he does.
Q. What did you make of the pick-and-roll defense L.A. was throwing at you --
LUKA DONCIC: I can't hear you.
Q. What did you think of the pick-and-roll defense that they were playing against you --
LUKA DONCIC: Can't hear you.
Q. What's the emotional state of this team now? It was such a great atmosphere tonight, but really obviously a disappointing finish.
LUKA DONCIC: It's all right. We're still motivated. There's one more game left. I don't think why we shouldn't believe in it. So there's one more game, so we all believe.
Q. You're going to a place where you've won three straight games. Are you feeling good about your chances despite the fact you weren't able to win this one tonight?
LUKA DONCIC: It's Game 7. It doesn't matter where you are, you got to leave everything on the court and that's it. It's Game 7.
Q. You just spoke about it's Game 7 no matter where you are. What do you say to your teammates after a game like this? It was close and it's been a long series. What do you say to your teammates after a game like this heading into a Game 7?
LUKA DONCIC: I mean, we all believe. We all believe in Game 7, we all believe we can win. We won three, it's best of four, so we all believe.
Q. I was going to ask about the pick-and-roll defense that the Clippers played with the more aggressive doubling and trapping and how you can counter that better in Game 7.
LUKA DONCIC: We just got to do better. They do you believe you, somebody's open, so we just got to read it better.
Q. You guys were called for 21 fouls, 14 against L.A. Seemed like that was a frustration for you and for the team as a whole throughout the night. Did that take you out of your game in any way, shape or form and how did you feel about the officiating in general?
LUKA DONCIC: I don't want to talk about officiating. Everybody saw the game and that's it. We lost, move on to the next game.
