CHICAGO FIRE MEDIA CONFERENCE
April 24, 2021
Chicago, Illinois, USA
Press Conference
Atlanta United 3, Chicago Fire 1
Q. You've started both games and as a wide player. How do you see yourself sitting in as a wide player and how would you grade your performance so far through two games?
CHINONSO OFFOR NNAMDI: Well, it's been average to be honest. Because I feel like I can do more, even if it's not my position, I feel like I can do more in the game. Today wasn't as good as I would have wanted, but we keep working hard in training and try to get better.
Q. At times it felt as if the team was playing pretty narrow tonight. Was that part of the game plan or something that just happened naturally in the course of play?
CHINONSO OFFOR NNAMDI: I think it just happened naturally in the outcome of the game because sometimes you plan for something, but when you go out there, it changes so quickly. I feel like at times, the game just changed hands. Yeah, maybe that's why we were a bit narrow in the game.
Q. There was a shot you took late in the first half that bounced over your way. Is that one you wish you could have back and have a second crack at?
CHINONSO OFFOR NNAMDI: Well, I don't know, to be honest, because it could have -- I just hit it -- if it comes back, if I have the chance for it to come back, maybe yes, maybe yes, I would have wanted it to come back, so I would have done better or something.
Q. You guys have not made a lot of substitutions in two games. I think it's three. Does that add any pressure to the starting 11 that you know at least for the time being not a lot of help might be coming from the bench right now?
CHINONSO OFFOR NNAMDI: Sorry, come again?
Q. I think you've made three substitutions in two games right now, the fire have. Does that add any pressure to the starters knowing that chances are you're going to have probably go the distance and that you might not get too much help from the bench down the stretch in a game?
CHINONSO OFFOR NNAMDI: I don't think that really matters because everyone on the bench are capable of coming into the team and changing it. So it's all -- it all depends on the coaches, but I know we have a lot of young guys on the bench, but still, there are players who can change games.
